Welcome! Join me to build a better District 4, a better Northeast community! Be sure to vote in the runoff election. Thank you for your support.
In the City Council District 4 Representative Campaign, I placed in 3rd out of 5 candidates. We started with 8 candidates in the race, however I feel a winner overall. Over 5,000 votes were cast for me and truly I enjoyed learning so much about myself, our beloved Northeast and our City of El Paso. I met so many wonderful people, some I will stay connected with the rest of my life. Thank you for your donations and support. With God’s favor, I count my blessings and with His grace, I have just begun. As a strong Black Woman, with faith in the future another door will open for me. Looking forward to new beginnings and changes will include new positions in my future, with new friends and God’s grace.
Our hopes are to see the Northeast community grow as it should. Again, I sincerely thank you for your encouragement and support. Together we will share my new journey and experiences as I start a new chapter in my life.
There will be a runoff so carefully consider who deserves your vote. You choose wisely, and I will stand with you for the best for the City Council District 4 Representative. Please go, make your voice heard and vote.
There were those who did say that I should have done something different by attacking, being nasty to others and run a negative campaign but remember should have, would have or could have had no place in my campaign for me to be negative. Our best is yet to come. Proud but humbly, I say thank you to all my supporters and to all that endorsed me.
In closing, I would like to say that I am thankful for your faith in me, I am proud for my desire and commitment to have run and my and your belief in working for the betterment of our Northeast and El Paso. I will continue to work in our community of El Paso as I have for the past 20 years. Remember that the pandemic is still here with us, so please be safe by social distancing and wearing your masks.
Much love and thank you so much! Dorothy “Sissy” M. Byrd
